Need Help With Client

Hey Warriors,

One of my current clients is stumping me in terms of how I should market them on social networking sites. They are an insulation blowing machine & fireproofing equipment company. Their demographic consists of construction workers and typically males that are on the older side and may not really be into social media at all.

They supplied me with 557 emails so that I could create their list for them. About 120 actually opened the most recent email that was sent out. Also I have already though about creating a LinkedIn company page and trying B2B on there with other construction companies for them. But it is extremely hard to get their Facebook and Twitter accounts going because not to many people talk about these machines on social networking sites (big shocker).

I am here asking for possibly some out of the box ideas that I may be over looking. Also how to really show them that using the social networking sites can really improve their business. They are also an online only website for these machines. Thanks for any help guys, it is much appreciated!

If that's the case, they at least need to claim most of those social profiles and set them up--and keep them up to date (posting on Twitter at least once every few days). Their ideal client may not be into social media, but if they do look for the company then the company needs some sort of presence.

You don't have to talk about the actual machines or the actual company products--talk about the industry as a whole and interact with others who ARE tweeting about issues in the industry. I'm sure many of the major industry trade magazines have social media accounts--interact with them and tweet/retweet their posts.
