Managing a Clients Social Media Accounts

My question is when managing a clients SEO portfolio, do SEO consultants typically create the social media accounts on facebook, twitter, google+, linkedin, etc for the client. Or is the client asked to create the initial accounts/pages and hand over the credentials to the SEO consultant?

I am doing SEO for a couple of my web site design clients who are not computer literate and don't have the time to spend on creating all the social media accounts/pages that they need. So should I create all the social media accounts/pages under my own SEO consulting account or create accounts for them on their behalf using their email/credentials?

    I do a combo. I create the pages for them but I also make sure that the client knows they must create valuable content on a regular basis.

      gooz, do you create the accounts/pages under your credentials or do you create user accounts on behalf of the client with unique usernames and passwords?

    It's really up to your own business model honestly. If they want you to do it and you're comfortable with it, then just charge them a fee for it. I would definitely suggest creating unique info for each of them.

    Let them create accounts and give you the login details as well as make you admin of the facebook page etc.
