Facebook "Likes" doesnt work right

We have 50 Likes on our fb page but only 40 of them show up when you click on See All. Much research has shown me that is is a common problem and I did find a really technical solution that I would not attempt as I dont know what I'm doing enough to be that brave.

I've written to fb twice about this, with no reply yet. Is there any kind of alternative to their Likes that actually works to keep track?

We are running a promo that requires a person to Like us and then tell us when they order one of our kits, in order to get a bonus for free. So it's a real pain in the butt that Likes has quit working.

    I noticed that some likes are not recorded. I know that some persons liked my FB page and I have not receive any confirmation and "like" is not visible.

    KuhNoodle, are you asking me? Some of the missing Likes are from people I know so they ought to be legit. Some are from customers and I assume they are legit but cant know for sure. There is a Like button on our Facebook page for people to click, and it is working. I've asked my web design person if they know anything about this and they are looking into it for me. I wish there was a work-around or alternative as this is important to us.

    If there are such things I didnt know about them. Why would I want to stop someone from hitting the Like button?

    There are lots of other people who have this same problem, I have done a fair bit of research about this and it's a known problem.

    Hi Funkynassau,

    Go to your fan page, click to use the page as as the fan page name and not your own. Then just below the cover photo (the big one not profile) on the right hand side, to the right of where it has a like button (or liked if you've clicked it) it looks like an asterisk (*). Click it and a menu pops up below, click on view insights.

    This should take you to an overview page and next to that there is a 'Likes' tab (and to the right again it says 'Reach' and then 'People Talking About This' - Click Likes
    On the right hand side then just above the graph it should say 'Show Likes' I think there is a button above which says Export Data.

    By clicking show likes it shows in a popup window all of the people who have liked your page, just keep scrolling down and press view more to view them all.

    I really hope this helps! It's a pig of a thing and still not the most user friendly setup but hey Facebook aren't there to please everyone I suppose!

    Ok I have been to the spot you outlined, Steve. It doesnt tell me what I need to know, which is who these extra 10 people are that have Liked our page yet they dont show up when you click See All.

    We are running a promo with our small biz and people need to Like our page in order to get a bonus offer. They are supposed to tell us on our Order Page that they have Liked us, but some dont remember to do that, so I have to try to figure it out on fb. Which seems to be impossible since the count isnt working right!

    I've written to fb twice and so far they havent answered, which is what I expected. I think we need a new promo that does not involve fb Likes.

      Sorry that didn't solve your problem funkynassau.

      I have many Facebook groups and fan pages and this is how I get to see the complete list of members and apart from the ones in the hundreds of likes/members where I suppose I could count them one by one but that would be a nightmare.

      The only other way I think you can do this (though this doesn't cure your problem), just to check if they have liked your page is to send a message to all your fans and then see if the names come up there. I think you can look after its been sent to see who it went to.

    people "can" unlike the pages. specially if they get spammed. Sometimes I do that too if the page like is causing me to see too many stories from them.

      BingeSite I am not spamming anyone or writing too many stories. There's something wrong with the way the Likes thing works, or doesnt work.

      Alyona, we are running a promo where the customer needs to Like us on fb in order to get the special offer, so I want to know that they have followed thru.

      i do that "UNLIKE" thing also. I have a lot of pages which I did not LIKE at all. what seems to be the cause of this?

    It takes time. Admin panel is faster to show the likes in comparison with the page likes everyone can view.
