Is SMM and SEM is similar in nature? I need to know in details about this two things. How can I work with this?

Not really. One is for search engines and the other for users. Though the gap is getting narrowed pretty fast.

Per Weavingthoughts, the two are different for now.

Social media marketing involves reaching out to an audience via social media channels. Search engine marketing involves reaching out to an audience through search networks. While the two overlap and intermingle with similar concepts (i.e. PPC, SEO, etc) they are two distinct tactics.

I’m not really sure how to answer your question on “how to work with this”. Are you looking to get started marketing an organization using these tools? If so there is tons of information in the threads of this forum and others online. If you can be more specific I’m sure people would be happy to recommend tons of different resources.

They are not similar in nature. SEM is more on search engine jobs such as blogging and article writing about the products that you are selling. SMM may do more on social media browsing such as twitter, facebook and other known websites. They are both part of internet marketing strategies but in different ways.

social media marketing and search engine optimization are to different techniques but both have same gole that is" traffic " .
And we can use both techniques to get more traffic .
