Question about Facebook

So, I am entering descriptions on Facebook photos. Does this have any effect on the search-ability or any positive affect on my Facebook page?
Here is an Example

Curious if there is any value to doing this.

Thanks!

I don't think that there is any real benefit to that rather than people knowing something about the photo. It's just a caption. Now if you add a location to the photos that is a different story.

  • Izee,

This may have benefits for Facebooks open graph but not for anything else. Most of Facebook is off limits to search engines other than default public profile pages.

It is good to tell users as much as possible about an image. It helps with engaging them.
    Hope that helps,

Thanks for the input folks, I kinda thought that.
Also, I am aware of the upcoming Graph Search, somewhat aware. Figured I would check and decide how much effort I would put into this. I will continue to do it, but not let it consume too much of my time.
