It really depends on a lot of variables. I've only used FB ads to gain fans/likes on some small projects, and ended up spending $.75-$1.00 per fan. These were pretty specific niches though.

I'm sure there are others on here that have more experience, and much lower costs per fan.

      I had the same results.

When running PPM I received 19 clicks and 17 likes.

When running PPC I received an additional 11 clicks but only 4 likes.

with $500 , right targeting and right add , you cpc can go low and you can look for 1,500-3,000 easily.

I would suggest you test small, $20-$30/ day per ad.

I just launched a campaign for one of my niche sites and making a case study for it.

Right now I'm at $0.32 cpc. an 95% convert to likes.

IMO, do not pay for CPC.

    Instead pay for CPM.

I would never spend more than $0.10 per click/like on a page.. and aim for $0.01 as a primary target.

With CPC I had to spend nearly $0.67 per click on a campaign, whilst on the same campaign only spent $0.02 per click via CPM..

In that respect, $500 has the potential of getting more than 50,000 people to like your page.. it's all about how you optimize your campaign and work with it.

That's definitely achievable, just make sure to test out multiple campaigns and check Google Trends to see what's currently trending before advertising.

I actually just did a little test with CPC and here's what I got :

      $21 spent

      15 Emails List Subs

      $12 from Cpa + $3.48 from adsense.

I'm monetizing the likes with emails subs + cpa offer on the thank you page. and I got some adsense on the blog where the thank you page is.

I will now test CPM campaign and will see if I get better results...

I don't want to link threads, but you can always do searches on peoples posts by going to their profiles and checking statistics and threads started.

The ads I run are in many different niches and I've seen it work in almost every niche, it's all about optimizing it to work with CPM to get the lowest possible price.

alright thanks. I'm going trough a few courses on FB marketing right now from Perry Marshal and others and soon I'll be able to have much better ads on there.

For Now my CPC is about $0.30

it's about the quality of the fans, not the quantity of your fans.
If you know the way to monetize your crowds, that'll lead you to better communication and engagement with your fans

I agree with Justin here, and would suggest running a CPM campaign, as opposed to a CPC campaign. I've run campaigns on CPM basis which brought in likes at $0.01 to $0.03 per click... so with a budget of $500 an efficient CPM campaign can bring in around 10K likes (estimating a CPC of $0.05). So if you can get it working more efficiently, you can get even more than 10K

The key with running CPM campaign is to obviously test ads to ensure you have a high CTR to maximize conversions; and more importantly keep reviewing your ads every couple of days and change things around when you see CPC increasing and CTR decreasing.

Start with a budget of $10 to $20 per day and take it from there.
