How much are Subscribers to a WordPress blog worth?

I own the blog site PitchersDuels.com and I was wondering how much are each subscriber worth? How much should I pay for traffic for getting subs? Right now I have a pop-up for a PeerFly offer when people are about to leave the page. Should I rather have a pop-up asking people to Subscibe to my blog via e-mail alerts?

When you say you want to pay for traffic, are you referring to PPC advertising like google?

The reason I'm asking is because Google charges based on keyword value and you will first need to identify the value of your website keywords, which in this case comprises of 'pitchers' and 'duels'. I believe both of those keywords could be potentially expensive, especially 'duels' due to the huge online gaming market.

Now assuming you're able to build a decent subscriber base on the website, I believe the value would really depend on what the subscribers convert to. As I've never explored the baseball niche, I'm not too sure. But I'm guessing you could sell them baseball equipment/wear etc. which affiliate commissions could be pretty high if they're well known brands. Not too sure about the conversion rate though. I probably wouldn't even pay for traffic as I believe these sort of content is best share via social sites.

I'm not using Google. I'm using this company Outbrain

The company I'm using is for promoting social media. It reads the title for the page I'm promoting as keywords. Here's the page I'm promoting Giants Favorites to Win 2013 World Series

Right now, I'm still trying to figure out what to pay. I'm paying 6 cents and I'm recommended to pay 15 cents per click. So far, the clicks are coming from sports websites.
