Using Facebook Fan Page with ppv traffic

If I use a Facebook Niche Fan Page provide good content on it not spam and use it with ppv traffic as a landing page would that be effective?

      im in the las vegas entertainment niche and I have a facebook fanpage tailored to that niche i will try not to spam the crap out of it with affiliate links but there will be some affiliate links in their. My thing is why popup a facebook fanpage on it a site you are competing within your niche and do not offer anything to the visitor he's at the site to buy some tickets about vegas shows anyway right.

          Monetize means make money from it.

          Facebook fan page is one of many ways to do affiliate, but I think you have to be careful to obey facebook rules, and make quality contents on it, so people don't mind if your page updates show up in their timeline and end up buying the products you promote.

      My goal is to drive traffic to the page by getting them to like it and to click on the affiliate links inside the page but i will not spam it with banners and links

    I have a very bad experience with PPV FB ads. If you choose PPV way to get traffic than facebook usually throw your ad to millions of users in few hours and clicks will be very less compared to the money you pay. I did this mistake and loose more than $100 in 2 days and earned $24 from 12 clicks. Its funny but true

    Now i only prefer PPC its safe and i pay for the click which i receive but here facebook will send very less traffic to your ads compared to PPV ads because they know that PPV will make more money to them.

    The theory of when to choose CPM advertising vs. CPC advertising, on facebook, or any other platform for that matter is quite simple.

    1) Begin buying CPC advertising.... You will pay per click.
    Suppose the CPC for your target audience is $1. Facebook also has a CPM (Cost per 1000 Impressions) price for this audience. Suppose it is $3.

    2) Optimize your creative and other parameters (audience, for example) advertising so you are getting more then two clicks per 1000 impressions. You will be spending more money, but getting more clicks now - your Effective CPM (ECPM) price is now $2, since you are paying for two clicks per 1000 impressions. At this point it is still cheaper to buy clicks on the CPC model.

    3) Continue to optimize your advertising. Once you achieve 3 clicks per thousand impressions, your CPM and CPC prices are equal. (3 clicks = $3, 1000 impressions = $3).

    4) As soon as you have more then 3 clicks per 1000 impressions, your ECPM rises above $3. At this point it becomes cheaper to pay for 1000 impressions and receive four clicks "free", then it does to pay for the four clicks and receive the 1000 impressions "free".
