Pinterest + online store

Has anyone been able to use Pinterest effectively with an online store? I'm reading articles that say Pinterest is great for driving traffic to online stores and my products are very artistic so it seems like a perfect fit, but I'm only getting about 12 referrals per day. All of my pins link to the store's product page and they all include the product title as the description. I have about 500 pins and 50 followers with about 40 repins per day and 7500 impressions per day.

Has anyone been able to make Pinterest work well with an online store?

    Hi! warriorforumrock,
Here are some quick idea to drive unique customers to your site from Pinterest-
    1. Firstly you need to gain many Pinterest followers. It will give you a User Authority and you have connected with many people. When you pin anything they will see it. And if the pin it their followers will see it. So, you need to maximize your network.
    2. Add the best beautiful pictures of your product. Make sure that you are not pining your products only. Collect other types of pics at your board related your products!
    3. Make sure to add product price at your pin.
    4. THE MOST IMPORTANT is you must verify your website in your Pinterest account!

Thanks, I think it will help you :-)

50 followers isn't enough. You need a lot more so that when you pin something more people can see it and re-pin it so that their own followers see it.

This will help you to gain more and more followers, re-pins and traffic to your website.

Displaying the product price is not a good idea. People visit your profile because your products interest them. It doesn't directly mean that they are sellers. You have to concentrate on other stuff that relates to the people's interests. If your online store is selling women's shoes, you can post images there what type matches a cocktail dress, what celebrities are wearing, what's in trend.
