    I think it is very obvious for someone like Warren to receive tons of followers in a short span of time without the need of promoting himself or adding anyone from Twitter. He's a pretty famous icon in the world of investing and whether or not he promote himself I am sure he will be followed.

      I also doubt it's really him.

      The man never invests in anything he doesn't understand and he has mentioned many times before that he almost never invests in tech.

      In my opinion, it was simply good pr for his annual shareholders meeting and to help push Berkshire's recent diminishing returns.

        His PR team run social media. Buffet makes the big calls at Berkshire Hathaway and hires minions to do the rest.

    Let's see, first, Warren is famous and his first (pre-arranged) tweet was during an recorded interview with Fortune magazine, and it's on CNN Money.

    I'm surprised he only got 320K followers in a day. There's no telling what went on behind the scenes to ensure that.

    Besides, most of his followers are just random people who haven't yet escaped the Matrix, hence, they think it's cool to follow folks like Warren Buffet.

    Regardless of whether he's actually the one tweeting, it is his official account. He probably tells people what to put on there at least on occasion. I did like his first tweet. I followed him within an hour of when he made the account.
