Facebook Page or Facebook Group?

Which one have you had more success with?

I've been leaning on Pages mainly but can really see the value of groups now.

Anybody like one over the other?

Depends on what your needs are and what you give more importance. I prefer a smaller group that shares my interests though my chances of getting more people to get my group known is very limited. I put more value on people who are interested and serious. So a Facebook Group works well for me.

I gotta chime in here as I'm still new to FB fan pages and I'm looking into FB group pages.

My situation: I've been using an autoresponder for a LONG time and haven't had much success with it in terms of people actually opening the emails being sent and sales generated. People subscribe, but really don't do anything more after that.

So, what I'm thinking of doing is just trashing the autoresponder thing all together and just use a FB group page instead. Instead of people opting in to receive my emails, they'll have to join the FB group. (at least I think I can do this). Then, I can promote to that group, right?

Am I looking at this the right way? If not, please set me straight if you can. If I am, any tips would be highly appreciated.

Facebook groups let you target the person interested with your niche directly but with limited target range. Facebook pages give you a wider range in targeting but lesser chances of finding the right people.

I totally agree with Cobaki. You explained it right on.

Depends on the target market, I have found it easier to get people to like a facebook page than a group, also find it easier to get more likes as a fan page using photo techniques.

Facebook page is better to built a strong social media presence for your business. A group is not supposed to created to this purpose.
