Some Pinterest Do's And Don'ts

This really should go without saying, but due to a mass amount of spam on some of my group Pinterest boards recently, I wanted to post some rules of etiquette for those who may be a little overzealous with their pinning.

1. Follow all contributor board rules. Board owners write their rules in the board description area. If the owner says no more than 5 or 10 pins per day, then please stick to that.

2. Don't invite others to group boards without permission from the board owner. If they want you to invite other pinners, they'll say so in the board description. If they don't mention it at all, then it's best not to do it.

3. Keep your pins and their descriptions on topic. There's nothing worse than seeing an image of 4 yummy cupcakes and the description is "How To Stick To A Routine To Lose 10 Pounds." (I swear that was really one of the pins belonging to the spammer. Doh!)

4. Pin in moderation to each board. Even if the board rules don't state a specific number of pins per day, please be courteous. Regardless of how on-topic your pins might be, if you hog the board it will look spammy to other pinners.
