Guys, Is This Possible/Permissible?

Hi guys, just wanted to find out if it was possible/okay to put your CPA banners on your facebook fanpage.

I've had the idea and wanted to know what you think on this.

Sure. You can put up any image you want and then link in the description field.

Thanks Barry, but what I actually meant was HTML banners from CPA networks, not plain images.

I'm assuming you mean copying and pasting the HTML code for a banner provided by the CPA network into a post on your Facebook fan page. I haven't seen a way to do this yet, although there are many Facebook apps available (usually quite expensive) that allow you to do certain things like put a subscription form in a gif image so that people can join your email list.

Most CPA companies will give you a code, just like the one you get from Google Adsense, that you can post anywhere and a banner will come up and the link will be directed to credit you as the affiliate so you don't have to do anything except to copy and paste it anywhere online.

umm this is the social media forum

That being said I dont believe there is any way to put HTML inside of a post. You have to put the image as a pic and then the link as a description.

I can think of much better ways of using a Facebook Fan Page. Sure, if you get some hits you may generate a little money, but there is no future in that. It's not a recurring payment. You're only going to be paid once and then you've lost that lead.

This is the importance of list building. If you build a list, you have your own money-making machine. You can approach your list with targeted products for the rest of your days and you're always going to get paid.

Your Facebook Fan Page needs to be about you and/or your business. It's a great place to get traffic from, but list building has to be the number one concern for an Internet Marketer and that is the only way to go.

  • I think that is perfectly fine and allowed as long as it fits the description of your page

You will need to copy the banner to your hard drive and then up load it to facebook. Then you can add some text and a link to the offer.

You can use such HTML code on a new Tab by installing a TAB Application on your fanpage. But can't say for sure if such linking is allowed by FB or not.
