Few questions regarding social media advertising

Hello everyone, I just got into a new niche that involves being highly active on social media. I've made a few reddit posts and already got 500 viewers from just those few posts. Which don't get me wrong... thats nice and all, but eventually those reddit links will get buried and die off.

So obviously I need to make a facebook, pinterest, etc.
We'll start with these two for simplification. I made a facebook fanpage, but I have no idea how to get likes on it. How do I get the initial group of people to like my page?
Same with pinterest, how do I get followers?

Any ideas?

    One way to start would be to try Facebook ads. Facebook themselves says that you can't buy likes anywhere except for their website. So that is one way to start.

    Some other ways would be to message other pages and ask for an update. Once you get some initial fans you can do share4shares to get additional fans. And once you really get the ball going, all you have to do is post good content and the fans will spread your content around helping your page grow even more.

    I think if you are looking at getting genuine likes and followers for your facebook page, then involvement and interaction with your followers is essential in order to attract them to your page and it's content. You have to start doing marketing for the page on your own like promoting it on other social media and getting the initial crowd on the page

    I would suggest you become active in Facebook- post good content, join similar groups, like statuses, share posts, and so on. You'll soon get followers by doing all these. And yes, running ads also helps.

    I made mistake by buying likes on Facebook. The only advantage is with more likes you can use statistics for your business profile. Strong advice is to use more social media like twitter, Facebook, Google+,Pinterest or LInkedin. Blogging is a great tool to get traffic. I use fiverr (double r) for promoting SEO purposes. Join several groups and keep in touch with people! I use HootSuit for massive advertising.

      Interact with your fans. Post interesting and inspiring quotes, with photos, what's trending .. what's in the news. Create events. Ask questions. Build relationships with your fans.

      With my fanpage... its a party there! I personally gained friends on my facebook. I have now almost 6000 fans, guaranteed targeted fans for my niche!

      And one more thing... pay attention to your INSIGHTS reports so you will understand more about your fans.. what do they like, the engagement.. your post popular posts!, etc.

      I think all the above are the best ways to gain fans...
