Hi,

Is it a good idea to build backlinks (forum profiles/blog commenting/social bookmarking etc) to my twitter profile, facebook profile, google plus profile etc....so that the link juice would pass to my money site?

What is the best way to optimize my social profiles?

    Be sure to be as descriptive as possible in all the profiles of the accounts and do not forget to include your keyword as well.
    And the social network profiles are capable of rankong themselves very well, I see many of them outranking even blogging entries on the term.

    I would say that in general, no. If your goal is to get link authority from other websites via an inbound link, sending them through a social media site where the links are mostly no-follow is not a good idea. That being true, most commenting systems and forums are also no-follow so those probably aren’t the best places to get link authority from.

    Best way to get the link juice coming to your money maker site is to build backlinks to the actual sites. Of course wouldn`t be a bad idea to build some links to your social network accounts, because you are interested in traffic to the main site, not just the linkback, but don`t neglect backlinks to the site...

    Yes, you can build backlinks to your social media profiles using Forum profile links, blog comments & social bookmarking it is a good idea. Use your social media profiles regularly, spread quality content, this is the best way to optimize your social media profiles. But your main concern should be to build backlinks to for your main/money site.

    It is not enough that you just link it. Try to join discussions, ask and answer questions too. Engage with your network as well.
