What is a good price to pay for FB Likes?

Before I ask this question, let me clarify. I am not talking about buying FB Likes from a service. I really don't believe in that, since most of those Likes are 'fake' users and I don't see the point in it. I have started a FB advertising campaign targeted at my niche market in an effort to get Likes on my Page.

So far I'm paying about $1.75 per Like. Is this a good price, or should I tweak my ad settings to pay less? I have no issue paying for these Likes, but want to make sure I'm paying "market rate".

Any opinions here are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That is SUPER high, you should only be paying around $0.10 per like perhaps a little more if you have a very specific niche and in many cases people pay much less.

When you say that people pay much less, are you referring to using FB paid ads to gain Likes? As stated above, I have no interest in "buying" Likes. That seems like a complete waste of time and money.

      Thanks.

I think there are some traders at fiverr who don't deal in fake likes. You should take a look at that before you go anywhere. Each trader should tell you whether the likes are fake or not before you actually buy them.

    I hope that helps

Thanks. For my niche, only targeted Likes are worthwhile. I can't see how buying mass Likes from anywhere would be a good idea. It would just inflate my Likes which a bunch of people not interested in my site.

What I'm really trying to determine is how much, on average, people on the forums pay for Likes through the FB advertising method - which allows me to attract my target audience only.

NO NO NO! and one more time NO. Anytime you pay someone else to get you a like than its a 'fake like' you cant buy a like any more than you can buy a friend. The only real like is one from a person who chooses to click the button on there own because they like what your saying.

To the OP: In case you havent noticed no way would I ever tell people to buy a like from anywhere. And yes I mean from ads, $0.10 is good, but I have seen people as low as $0.05 per like. SO to reiterate you are paying far to much, you need to work on your ads.

Running a Facebook Ads campaign and you will receive like . Actually, $1.75 per like is too expensive.

May be your campaign is not good. You need to advertise to people who are passionate in you niche. With Alexa or Quanscast, you can measure your audience pretty well.

Here is my post about it using Alexa: Facebook Ads Market Research: 5 Minutes Work Makes FB Ads Better Than 95% | FB Ads Tips Helps Advertisers and Bloggers to Build & Manage Successful FB Ads Campaign

The next thing is about your ad. May be you choose the bad image or bad headline + copy.

With the aim of getting more like, I recommend you to run a "Get More Like" campaign.
    - The image: Choose image that stands out of Facebook's background and niche relevance.
    - The ad headline: Love ***?. For example: Love Dog?
    - The ad copy: Then "Like" Us!

    Hope this help!

The pricing will vary, but more importantly, it should go DOWN over time.

So if it starts high, just make sure it keeps getting lower, which happens through a good CTR.

According to my experience the success in fb ads is to tweak as many ads as possible for a short period of time, determine which ads work the best and concentrate on them. But keep in mind that you should create different campaigns with not more than 3 ads. If you have a specific niche the precise targeting option will help you a lot. Using Power Editor is highly recommended.
