Youtube cracking down on video convertor/downloader software (I think)

I use real player downloader to download certain videos about topics that are around the subject of my site in order to write blogs about them. I want the videos to be on my server and player for a more professional feel vs embedding them from youtube.

This is just my guess, but it seems the google has caught on to real player and is preventing realplayer to download from youtube, I'm guessing. Also, I can download from some site but not others. I used to be able to download from all sites with video including YouTube. It seems like this happen all of a sudden

So I want to know are there any other safe downloader software comparable too real player. They can be free or paid. I prefer quality over price.

I have not noticed that myself I use real player as well and have always been able to download all the videos I needed. Any site in particular I could try on my end for you just pm me.

Use the website keepvid.com to download videos in any format you want and in any size you prefer to save your server space. It works fine for me. Its totally free...

I use a add on for Mozilla Firefox which just adds a download button to each video. It works great.

try kibase.com All you have to do is insert the source code (copy and paste) and you download right there.

You don't need to install anything btw

The RealDownloader software might not be working for a number of reasons. Is your browser currently updated to the latest version? If not, this can prevent RealDownloader from working.

VDownloader works fine for me, never had any issues. I also suspect they will make it harder and harder to download videos in the future
