To fb fan page owners - how much do you earn from them?
I wonder how much a page with 1 mil likes can bring to it's owner? If we ake the popular "fun pics" or "music" niches?

how much approx per month?

thx

I have used fan pages to drive traffic and build a list as well as interacting with customers. This has worked well for me. However I have not ever posted affiliate links or anything like that if thats what your talking about.

Also the number of likes doesnt matter so much as how targeted those likes are to the niche you will be advertising. 1 million likes on a 'fun pics' page is not going to convert well because the fan base will have a wide range of interests. However 1 million likes on 'Alaskan stream fishing' would convert well if you where pushing fishing gear.

call me idealistic but the way I see it, fan pages aren't for making money. you can have two separate pages with a million likes on them, and one might be "making money" and the other might be making next to nothing.

if you build something like "i ******* love science" (which is really difficult to build, by the way, and takes a hell of a lot of time, energy and dedication), you could subsequently monetize it with t-shirts or something...

but if you build a facebook page trying to make money, you'll probably attract the wrong kind of crowd and have lots of un-engaged users. That's the poetic irony/justice here.... if you want to make money, you have to create real value.

if your Fans are REAL fans who really love what you're doing, they could be bringing you tonnes of money. Getting to that stage is non-trivial, though, and has a lot to do with everything you're doing outside of the page. I'm a big fan of Red Bull, who have almost 40 million Likes. But they give away free stuff and they create great content and they do amazing things like launch people from the edge of space.

making money is rarely a straightforward proposition, and when it is, it's often dreary, dull and "race to the bottom" drudgery.

I haven't promoted any affiliate links or any on fb page.I mainly use Facebook to drive traffic to my blog. There is much better chance to convert the lead on the blog than fb as you can do limited things there.

I would love to give away freebies to my fans to help engage them more, but where do you get free stuff from?
