I once got locked out of my fb account and had to confirm the identity of friends from various line-ups to unlock. Do they still use this as a security feature?

Thats one of the ways. The other is with a security question. A third way is with your phone number (they text you a code). Facebook uses all of these methods to recover your account still.

Thanks. I was hoping they have scrapped the 'confirm identity of your friends' feature. It is very hard to get around that, especially when you have added many people at random.
