Facebook Ads: Whats the difference between these interests?

When i'm in the ads manager, and going through the interest targeting tool, i'll notice the same interest but one has a hash next to it and targets alot more people.

Take the interest slim fast for example: if i target #slim fast with a hash it shows millions more people to target, than just targeting slim fast.

What is the difference?

'slim fast' with no tag is a generic term, 'slim fast' with a hashtag is the proper name of a product.

When you choose #slim fast, your ads will be appeared to people who used the keyword slim fast in somewhere.
With out hash tag, your ads will be appeared to people who like the page named "Slim Fast"!

In my opinion, if the page "Slim Fast" is super active then you should choose the keyword without hash tag
