How to get fans from FB to Blog?

I have a FB page with over 26,000 fans and fairly good engagement (currently over 16,000 talking about this).
I have created a blog with Blogger directly related to my niche.
I have tried all sorts of strategies, competitions, links to coupon offers etc but can only get a fraction of my fans going to the blog.
Eg today I posted a link to a blog post. On the FB page it had 1,094 views and 42 likes but only 27 fans went to the blog post.
I'm getting a few AdSense clicks so if I could drive more of my traffic there it could go ok.

So the question is.
How do you get more fans to go the blog?

I think maybe it's time to explore the rest of the Internet. Facebook is not the only place to advertise

First, it should be noted that where you create your blog? it's on Wordpress, Trumbler or Blogpost, Blogger...I prefer Wordpress blog, I've a wordpress blog and I usually getting 100+ comment in a whole day, some of those put comment for their link, but I mean to say visitors you'll get at maximum from Woedpress than that of.
Secondly, there should be a comment section below every post
Thirdly, there must be some social sharing buttons

I hope you've already included these in your blog...but these things seem to me that steps to get regular and more visitors or fans.

**And you mentioned, you've 26,000 fans on your page, so you got this manually or anyone provide you this likes...as truly 26,000 fans of a page is not a joke; it's all fans are are real, I mean to say all fans are active users on Facebook, then you must get more fans for your blog also.

Face Book is great in terms of pulling traffic.

What you need to do is to analyze the posts you are posting on Face Book, Analyze them as a fan, see what is the weaknesses of your posts, see how can you improve the quality of posts, how can you post very interesting posts which will lead fans to your blog,
think and analyze as a fan and not as a page manager.
You might find some interesting facts.

Don't get dishearten with it as it happens, work on it and you will get there,

Thanks for all the advice. All of my fans are real. I use blogger, only because I already had an account there. There is a comment section at the bottom of each post but I don't think it's visible enough as no-one has ever made a comment, even when asked!

    Here are a few ideas:

    1. Offer something for free (digital or otherwise) and make sure to collect the email.
    2. Have a contest.. offer something worth $50 or more. COLLECT EMAILS
    3. Explicitely ask - "Hey, come check out this blog." or "Doo dis, yo" or "I would really appreciate it if you checked out my post on XYZ.

Experiment with the quality of your blogposts. Research Copyblogger.com to figure out how you could be writing more magnetic, compelling headlines that your FB fans feel like they simply have to click on.

High quality blogposts get organic hits and shares seemingly out of the blue, and they get amplified by Facebook Pages. Make sure you're engaging your fans in regular conversations, then write blogposts that are relevant to those conversations.

What kind of blogposts have you been writing so far?

Yep, I struggled getting people from Facebook to my blog at first too. It was a huge disappointment initially because I had over 50'000 likes on one of my pages and assumed the money would come rolling in.

I'm not sure what your niche is, so this info may be useless, but I found that using intriguing titles and no preview worked wonderfully. Something along the lines of "7 Things You Never Knew Could Kill You" (that's just an example, I never actually used that!) followed by a simple text link to my blog increased my click through rate X10 at least.

When you add a new blog post, post a link on your fan page and engage your readers by asking them a question related to the post.

There are a few ways that I have found useful:
    - Just ask them to visit, add some urgency to it, such as a coupon that your audience would like and is expiring. Sometimes just adding [Please read] helps with click through rate
    - Write compelling intro that triggers there curiosity

Here is the problem, they liked your page because they wanted to see the pictures you post and share them with their friends. They aren't interested in the blog because they already have what they are looking for from you. Maybe every once in awhile put up a picture on your blog but don't include it in the facebook post just do a teaser with a link. Then they have to click through to see the pic.

It's in the title and image. I find list type posts work well assuming the list of whatever is targeted to your fans' interests. The image must be captivating. I've just started my FB page for my niche and my list type posts send hundreds to my blog while other, more boring post titles are duds.

I also curate info and today I posted a link to a website with a "50 list of blah blah blah" and so far it's received over 800 clicks to the post and I only have 11,850 fans.

Space out your posts throughout the day. Mix it up with cool memes, posts to your site and curate some stuff. I try posting 3 to 5 times a day.

1094 views, 42 likes and only 27 visitors from that post back to your blog? Ouch!!

Don't worry though. There's still hope for you

It helps to be posting/sharing content that is relevant to what's been keeping them engaged.

I get thousands of visitors daily from Facebook back to my site, so Facebook definitely isn't the problem. It could be the niche you're in, how you're posting, etc.

If anything, keep posting content. You need to train your fans to click to your blog.

Even if in the beginning you have to tell them to "click here"

Yes, I said train - like dogs. lol However, they're more like sheep on Facebook.

Anything to do with coupons and direct deals will only work with page sizes 100k and above unless you are really niche market and very interactive.

I personally would reestablish if I am interested in that niche market and if so, I would work on connecting with the fans VIA articles, email lists or free give aways. Simply sending someone $50 in the mail can actually get you lots of attention if marketed correctly.

I always found that direct URLs do well. For example one of my pages brings in around 200-300 unique views per URL post. Don't underestimate 23 views. Your page is still small. Work on installing pop up ads that prompts liking your page. Because out of that 23 views some may be a couple newbies. As your page grows so will your numbers.

Just make sure you have systems in place that will autopilot a lot of the work such as converting people to email readers then outsource some work for a mail chimp manager. ( only go this way if you find your earnings steadily increasing)

    Hope this helps.

    Andrew
