We have a page set up in Tumblr and even bought hatchstyle theme but my biggest complaint for Tumblr is they do not allow you to link to outside source in your main menu. Anyone else with small business are you spending time with tumblr or just using that time on Instagram?

    It depends very much on what you're selling and who you're selling it to. You'll need to Follow a whole bunch of your customers & potential customers to make it work.

    I assume you're selling cosmetics? The first thing you should do is to create an interesting feed that cosmetic fans would be interested in. Be as genuine and interesting as possible. Be willing to allocate like 20% or less of your feed to your business. See it instead as a channel for building a list/audience.
