How to get good traffic from Stumbleupon?

I see it's not enough to share good content there. I post interesting stuff from my blog and other sites I like, stumble and comment on posts submitted by others, follow relevant people. What else should I do to increase the number of Stumbleupon followers and traffic to my blog from there? Marketers around the web brag they get hundreds and thousands visitors per day from this source advising nothing workable. Is it real or they just lie?

    From my experience it is very hard to get followers on StumbleUpon. You really don't need them though to get views what you need is really shareable content that will keep getting voted up. Infographics and pictures seem to work better than articles unless the article is really useful. It also depends on the subject matter business articles don't get shared very much at all.

    Provide useful relevant content.

    I don't use StumbleUpon as part of my marketing, but somehow I'm getting 200-300 visitors a day from it.

    Guess it depends on the niche too.

    IT depends upon niche and quality of content and the time when you are sharing...
    If your category is selected correctly you can get heaps of traffic, it all depends upon how you can make each stumbler hit "Thumbs up button" of stumbleupon ..
    Sometimes marketers use stumbleupon advertising feature, if your content is worth attraction then you can get viral on stumbleupon ..
