Very weird split-testing results on facebook, am i missing something??
I have been getting into alot of testing with my facebook ads. The ads are for likes to the fanpage. Iv'e gotten great results and the page is growing.
But now i started to really test ads, both as learning for future cpa ventures and to get the most out of my ads.
and now that i really read the number im kind of confused.
If this was for a cpa offer i would look at the CTR primarily(right??)
but now im in it for the likes. but im just not getting these numbers.
Here are 5 of my Ads, the 2 that gave me most likes, and the 3 with best CTR, and the stats are confusing the h*ll out of me.
I'm going to write the numbers in my own countrys currency, but i really doesnt matter in this case. My native currency is "krona", "kr" in short.
All ads have spent 20 kr as a budget.
(im using optimized CPM)
(LpU is my own calculated statistic, Likes per Uniqe shown)
Ad.1 - 81 klick - shown to 6119 - CTR: 0,426% - 40 likes - LpU: 0,654% - C.perLike: 0,50 kr
Ad.2 - 75 klick - shown to 6765 - CTR: 0,339% - 37 likes - LpU: 0,547% - C.perLike: 0,54 kr
Ad.3 - 53 klick - shown to 1707 - CTR: 2,286% - 24 likes - LpU: 1,405% - C.perLike: 0,83 kr
Ad.4 - 48 klick - shown to 2174 - CTR: 1,407% - 23 likes - LpU: 1,058% - C.perLike: 0,87 kr
Ad.5 - 35 klick - shown to 1892 - CTR: 1,217% - 20 likes - LpU: 1,057% - C.perLike: 1,00 kr
Can someone please shine some light on a few thing here:
Why have facebook choosen to show the worst performing ads to the most people? thus giving me the most likes from the worst ads??
why are the 2 worst performing ads the cheapest? isn't good performing ads supposed to be cheaper??
Should i use the ads that gave me the most likes? even tough their performance besides the likes are awful??
these number are confusing to me, i cant see the logic in them.
am i missing something here?? shouldn't facebook focus on the best performing ads?? from what i see they have done the opposite.
It feels like im missing something that would just make me go AHAAAA!
But i just cant see it.
Help would be veeeery appreciated.
Best wishes to all of you, may you make millions 2013
