Help? Merging Facebook Profile With Fan Page

I want to merge my PROFILE with my Fanpage.
Facebook have a Help page about it which is as usual hopeless.
When I google it I get ONE hit!!! (A really great one lol)
I find this ONE hit a bit worrying?
Has anybody here done it?
Does it work? Any advice greatly appreciated!

    Do you mean that you want to change your personal profile into face book page?
    If that is the case, then yes it is possible.
    Recently a friend of mine did convert his personal profile into fan page, the only downside of it was that he has 4900 friends on his personal profile and when he converted it to page, he got 4730 fans, Face Book wasn't able to convert all 4900 friends into his likes.

        It's not hard to do. I kept my personal page and added a commercial page. You can then invite your existing friends to "Like" the new page. It's a slow process and you might have to repeat it several times. You can also "share" any new content you post on the commercial page on your personal page, so your existing friends can see it and click through to the new page.
