Does facebook not allow a fan gate for the overall fan page?

Hey guys, I've been using the woobox app to create facebook apps for pages within my fan page and the app does allow me to create a fan gate for each tab but I don't know how to create a fan gate for the overall fan page. Is this feature gone because I know that the old facebook fanpage format did have this capability?

    Yeppers its been gone for quite a while now. This feature was lost when Facebook switched fan pages over to time line.

    And you are correct. You still can gate tabs.

    It does not take much to see why Facebook decided to do this. You can gate tabs, but the only way to get a person to land on a tab is via an ad (since they removed default landing tabs as well)
