You can’t disable the timeline. It is compulsory now.

You can delete or change all your content, which you have added to the FB. Maybe this can help you.

You cannot change to the old FB format...only timeline is available now...but as said above, you can manage the old post as you prefer...

I think if you "hide" all posts from all pages, apps, friends, and people you follow, you might be able to achieve a perfectly clean timeline.

For my personal account I have over 700 friends, I "like" a few dozen pages, and I "follow" a handful of people without friending them. Yet, I have used the "hide" function on 550 - 600 of these accounts, resulting in a very clean, efficient, and optimized timeline. I'm not sure what happens if you hide ALL content from ALL friends/liked pages/people followed, but I suspect that your timeline would literally be empty except for Facebook sponsored content.

(I don't de-friend people so that I can still go back to their accounts and check up on them when I need to)

Use it..Its good. But if you don't want to see some posts hide them, review tags before showing it on your timeline..

I am also fed up of this stupid timeline, but my friend now you can't remove it. You can use a chrome extention, but the thing is that only you will see your profile without timeline because you have the extension installed, but everyone else will see your timeline.

Although for the moment Facebook did not make a clear statement about the deployment of the upgrade in any of its official pages, and as a consequence there is a lot of false information going around, experienced users know that Facebook upgrades of this size are never optional.

Besides, there are clear evidences that indicate that there will be no way to go back to the old Profile.
