Interesting study that analyzed what kind of content and which day of the week and time of the day works best for generating Facebook Likes or Retweets for businesses: Social Media Audience

    There are a lot of stuff around the web like these which says, how to and when to. But the point is may be, MAY BE, it worked for them. It doesn't mean that it will work for all. To increase likes and audience the social networks themselves offer a lot of tips. Infact they want people. So stuff like these are mere statistics of in a way a great means of making money through IM.

    For facebook pages, you should aim to post when most of your fans are online. It varies from page to page. You can get the time when most fans are online, easily with the new facebook page insights for pages. It will be in your facebook page screen on top center.

      I agree everyone should find out their Fans best activity time on this Way. Its really easy, because Facebook gives you the information if who is online or not. Just login on several times of the day and you will have your own statistics.

    All depends on your target market and from where you are in the world............................I get crazy as an online marketer with time zones and depending on your niche its crucial that you post at the peak times when your target audience in next to the computer
