Can i regain rankings for domain offline for a year and parked.?

HI i once used to run a site with top 10 ranking for low volume keywords, however unfortunately the site was offline foe 1 years. ( domain taken over by someone)
During this entire time the domain was parked and the content had been offline, would it ever be possible to gain the ranking for those keywords back again if the original content on the domain is put online? suggestions any one..

    The domain still has some juice in it I assume. This means it is not too bad that it was parked for a year. It will still be hard to get where you used to be though.

    Sure you can, but it wont be much different from just starting a new domain. A little better but not much.

    Yes you can however there are some other considerations. You said the domain was taken over by someone else for a year and you also said it was parked. Which one was it? If someone else had control over the domain when it wasn’t parked, there is the potential that they did something negative to it like build spammy links. I would investigate the link profile before you go to too much trouble trying to bring it back.
