He summarizes Berger's findings on "why things catch on."

Berger found that emotion is key to making a video go viral. Not just any emotion, but an emotion with high arousal, positive or negative.

Examples of high-arousal positive emotions are awe, amusement (humor), or excitement. Negative emotions include anger or anxiety.

Berger says adding these emotions is critical for a video to spread.

Here is an example of a video that Shalwick says has high-arousal emotions which made it viral.

  Yep. It's impossible to product viral content on demand, and anybody who claims to be able to is lying. The most you can do is to build a following, and constantly experiment with new and different kinds of content to see what sticks.

That would also depend on how you convey your video with "high emotional arousal" content.

You may have the most exciting and shocking video out there. But, if not done properly it could still not catch on.

One of the most exciting elements of being viral is its element of luck. It will always be a hit or miss. You cannot really predict when something will go viral.

Buy some high retention views which will rank the video.Then it will itself get some good organic traffic

  So I have a band that is going to be releasing our "Single" in a few weeks. We want to bolster the views legally with high retention views but from people who are into bluegrass/americana music. Can anyone on here do that? I don't wanna use bots or any illegal algorithms that will get us banned. We can pay up to $2000.00 for say 100,000 REAL views from REAL people. Is this a pipe dream? Can it be done? Or basically the only way is to fly under the radar and possibly get banned by youtube?

The only thing I can say about it is see Chris Munch product, it has been the only product I have seen that REALLY explains in a practical way how to get viral traffic, I used myself and produced traffic into the 5 figures in a day, and still getting some.

We have seen videos go viral. So, we know it can be done. Those that I have seen go viral are a very hot topic that many people are asking about-like a big web hosting company going down or have a strong entertainment value. For example, I read Justin
Bieber has 40 million Twitter followers.
