Finding the right words to use for a status update

So check this out:

imgur: the simple image sharer

I'm trying to come up with small advertisement that people will see as they are scrolling through the news feed. Basically, we're trying to promote our social media management services.

I want to play on the whole "Does advertisement work? - Just Did!" gimmicks that you find on the side of the road.

I was thinking about one of the 3 lines, what do you guys think?

"Does Social Media Marketing Work?" - It Just Did.

"Do Status Updates Get The Attention of Poeple" - just did

"Can we target customers on facebook?" - we just did.

Any advice or tips?

Often times you will get better results with a picture and having the text as a part of the picture. People are visual, pictures jump out at them.

Yes, that's what I'm trying to do. Add the words inside the image.

I clicked the link - saw the picture how it is. Yeah I'm voting on #2 as well. If text didn't take up more than 20% of the picture, that would be a cool FB ad to run too.

I also like the second one and your image already looks great. Keeping it short is better. Always choose the title with the lesser words.

I ended up saying "Does Social Media Marketing Work? - Just Did" and added my logo in the white box below. I added some shadow around the wording and sent it out.

I reached 1405 people. Not bad considering we have 800 followers for our company. We got one call from it :/ Not as much as I was expecting, but for a free image that took me 30 minutes to fine tune, closing out a $230 a month for 12 months deal really paid out.

It was free, so that's not bad either. It didn't pass the advertisement standards for Facebook due to the %20 wording, etc. BUT, it got the job done

I hope it helps one of you guys out if ya'll care to use it

Well it is very obvious that we look at the picture first then read the text, cause it is the Image that pulls our attention to the post.

Nice work pulling in attention with the meme image. People usually pay attention to memes even if they're distracted with something else—probably because we're programmed to expect some sort of humor or entertainment from them. I think it's still important to make sure the copy is clever or self-reflexive in some way though (as yours is). There's a pasta place around my area which used the Sound of Music ("look at all the ***s i give!") image and played it straight, which was sorta...fail actually.

People like to see pics and share. So posting status with combination of both pic and text always be a good option.

From my experience, images are the most shareable content on the Facebook. It doesn't really matter if the image is just a plain box with a text inside or a beautiful picture with text - people just love sharing pictures.

My vote goes to second one. I would redesign the picture, but definitely would use that text. It grabs attention, makes you think and makes you smile.
