1,000,000+ Visitors from Social
Okay I just want to point out the power of social. I have a community based website setup for gamers that receives roughly 5,000 - 10,000 visitors a day. It's a bit harder to monetize (except for GameFly.. oh how I love GameFly).. but social has definitely dominated everything else when it comes to traffic for me.
Primarily Facebook & YouTube.
In the past 8 months it has received over 1,000,000 visitors and here are the 2 top strategies that are working for me...
1. Using Images + Links for Facebook Posts
It's super simple and it works, primarily with an already existing Facebook page.
Out of all the techniques I've used to build traffic an image + link to the website has by far destroyed everything else.
The way this works is by using the image to lead into the link. So for example.. you could show 1/4 of an actual picture (keep them guessing). OR you could use the image to depict something and make your point on the post itself.
2. Partnering with YouTubers is AMAZING
You want some serious traffic that will immediately trust you? Partner up with YouTubers that already have existing channels. This especially works if there is something you can offer them. Many YouTubers will include your link directly below their video, at the end of their video, and sometimes even give shoutouts on videos that end up going viral.
If you can offer something even minuscule to a YouTube you'll get huge returns with very little efforts on your part.
Just always make sure that whatever it is that you are linking to, have something lead into it.
If you're wanting people to check out a discount, have the youtuber say or have yourself say something along the lines of "Did you know you can save $$ on the new GTA 5?" or "There's a way you can play GTA 5 for FREE, find out at this link".
