Any worth social networks besides the popular ones?

Hi, friends. As to me I think it's worth exploring other social networks searching for new traffic sources besides the popular ones: Facebook, Twitter, G+, Linkedin, Pinterest and Instagram. Do you have success somewhere else? There are also niche specific international social networks like Buzznet for music, Deviant Art for arts, local general social networks like Hyves for Netherlands, VK for Russia and post Soviet countries, etc. Do you succeed targeting niches and countries this way? Thanks.

Disqus is an oft-forgotten social network that can be effective from a marketing perspective.

I got a lot of traffic to one of our websites once from a network called Blokube - Blokube - Social Media Network and Blogging community - I think it's just a network for bloggers. I passed by it but didn't pay too much attention to it.

Depending on what you're marketing, Tumblr can be a very powerful tool to get your content viral. You'll need to be cautious though, because generally Tumblr users can be simultaneously more cynical as well as more vicious towards badly done marketing. Then there are the original social networks: forums, of course. A dedicated forum with actively engaged users is your best shot at inbound, besides blogging.

You've missed YouTube. Local/thematic social media networks could do, if you are looking for that kind of traffic. DeviantArt is just one big no.

Foursquare is great and works like a charm for offline businesses. Honestly, I can't see its purpose in online business..
