Youtube Video Monetized But Not Making Money

hi,

i have successfully managed to monetize a football video (2 days ago) which gained 10.5k views (still rising fast) in 2 days. But in analytics i see that it's making no cash.

it cannot be that analytics has not updated the data, because since uploading that football vid, my other normal vids have made few cents here and there.

also, i saw a significant increase in ad-clicks in analytics on the day i uploaded the football vid, but no $ was made for that particular vid.

could it be that even though youtube has allowed me to monetize the football vid, they are keeping the earnings or sending the earnings elsewhere because of copyrighted material?? anyone with a similar experience?

also, does anyone know any updated methods of fixing the "under review" problem?

thanks in advance

I haven't extensively used their monetization feature, but I though that it took a few days to update your earnings after monetization is added? Do your videos normally start showing the earnings immediately?

Lesson learned, drop it and move on. Just my opinion, make your own videos and own your content. Good Luck!

Or he could try monetizing it a different way. There are plenty of affiliate programs he could promote that might earn a few bucks.

Yes I agree. But make a video reviewing the affiliate product. Guess I should have been more specific,

Try hooking up a fantasy football affiliate program..

    fanduel.com is the best...

Try selling affiliate products. You should get better results. For football fans team jerseys and paraphernalia usually works well through the amazon associates program.

If by "analytics" you mean your Google Analytics account, then it's not a problem of your video. WIth 10.5k views you must have gotten some clicks.

However, do not expect to see your earnings in your Google Analytics account. Rather look at your YouTube account for your exact earnings. For some reason Google doesn't give you the option to check your earnings through your Google Analytics account.

thank you all for the helpful replies.

chase watts was right. though my other normal vids earnings were updated quickly (earnings updated almost daily, because they have much less views), the football vids earnings took longer to update. i finally see the $ now. think its due to sudden amount of traffic for that vid.

but thanks for all the other suggestions, will keep them in mind for the future! cheers

I agree with all people suggesting you to monetize your vidz via affiliate programs. Promote good CPA offers from sport niche and get paid for every free sign up you refer. Sell physical and digital products. You have a successful channel. Make bank. Dump that PPC.
