I wanted to know what you guys would recommend when it came to type of content that performs best on social media websites ? Thank you all for your time.

    I suppose it depends on the audience. In general images and video do much better for interaction than do text posts. Sharing links is also a plus. I would focus on sharing things that would be relevant to the target audience.

    It depends on the people, If you have an entertainment based page so obviously people looking for fun and entertainment will join it and they will expect posts related to ent.

    If it is a news and current affair related page so it's a different category and the people will expect posts related to news, current affairs etc.

    Images work best for me. There is a huge potential for images to go viral and for your page to be flooded with visitors. On Facebook for example I usually put up a picture promoting user engagement with the hope it will go viral, and write a short description with a link back to my website.

    Every Social media has different scenario, But one thing is common, That images help more to interact with social media traffic...
    BY my own personal experience by which i have tested top social sites, i have found that Humor images and stuff like that mostly get's best result from facebook...
    For stumbleupon traffic HD images, unique games, IQ and info-graphics do well..
    For pinterest Food and Quotes are best converting !

    Pictures and videos, posts about famous people and events. It's also important to track and follow the trending topics in social media.

    Its depend upon people and their interest. images and video content attract people to come to your page or if a you a quality text content it also helpful.

    It really depends on the niche or social group that you want to join and participate. For example, if a social group is all about funny memes, you should share meme images. If a social group talks about funny videos, then you need to share videos as well.

    I like to post videos with some text giving an extra opinion on the video. More comments I find than video alone.

    If you are going to focus on Facebook, then anything funny and meme related will do extremely well. Post pictures and videos with text in them for best results.
