I was myself planning to get started with my project of selling level 2 YA accounts. Looking at the demand for them as well as for the best answers, I think people are making something out of it!

I think if you want to get just traffic then its useful using level 2 or level 3 accounts to post your link you will get lots of traffic to your site. But be careful that you post your link with correct niche of question otherwise it will be cosindered as a spam and your answer account will get banned. You should try with level 2 account first then go for level 3 one.

Yes ..... Google still indexing the relevant yahoo answers. But the thing is you will have to use answeringvery carefully.I reached to Level 3 but Banned from my a/c without any warning.

So yahoo answering is good way to genetare traffic but need caution & non spam or self promotion answers

It's worth using Yahoo Q&A as the answers are indexed but I don't get a huge volume of traffic. Probably worth it if you are in a broad market.

Unless and until it ranks better on search engines, it is the best marketing source but not for linkbuilding

Yahoo Answers isn't that great, although it does have some SEO benefits. As for the marketing side of things, it can be good for driving traffic to your site but you need to be careful you don't get flagged for spam. Always provide quality, useful answers and in the sources at the end put your website in.

    - Great for super targeted traffic
    - Time consuming
    - Good for your backlink profile (nofollow links)
    - Worth it? Depends on your niche and how active the answers section is.

For traffic? I'd call it a waste of time compared to guest posting. I've driven traffic in the past from Yahoo Answers but nothing can compare to the amount of traffic you can drive from finding related blogs that get good traffic and getting a high quality guest post up with a link back to your site.

    Nothing Compares.

I have 1 blog that gets 50+ uniques a day from 1 post alone, that was posted 6 months ago. Can't beat that kind of traffic that is INTERESTED in the niche.

Not sure how active one has to be to get decent long tail traffic, but if your question is featured in the sliding featurebox on the homepage and includes a direct link to your site, you're still not looking at very much traffic:

It can be quite time consuming but effective if you're able to stick with it.
