Here's An Idea For How Grow Your Facebook and Twitter Pages Super Fast!

I just thought of this a while ago. I don't know if people are already doing it, but I think it could be a great way to build a fanbase on Facebook and Twitter.

The idea is simple: All you do is post something, and in the post you tell your fans that for the first people who share it, they get some kind of related goodie. On Twitter for example, you could say "The first 50 people to retweet this get _____ sent to their inbox."

It might be more of a challenge to do it on Facebook, since pages can't send messages to people who liked the page, but there must be a way to. As far as Twitter, all you'd have to do then is look at how many people retweeted and then send them a link to download the goodie.

I haven't had a chance to try this yet, but it seems like you could get people to virally fan your profiles pretty fast. After all, why send out tons of posts hoping someone will see them when you can put a little more effort into one that gets you 10x or 20x the amount of exposure?

Now just imagine how fast people would like your pages if you did this five times a day.

Yeah, giveaways are a great way to get more likes to your page and increase user engagement. I've tried this in the past with Facebook Pages and it's worked well, and people often tell their friends about the giveaway. Although you are giving things away for free, you will profit out of it in the long run.

True, you have to weigh things if what you're giving out for now can have an awesome effect after. Contests and freebies are always effective strategies. When you have a sign that says free stuff, you'll definitely have customers. However, it's also great to have likes plainly because they love your product or the stuff you posts are useful.

Sure, it's a long time investment. Do you have any freebies on making it selling Amazon products. Maybe a little tutorial on the best products to market, and how to freely market and make returns in a few days.
    Thanks.

I would agree with all who posted that this could be a great avenue to build some interest/likes but I will add however that when giving away something for free make sure it has value. How many times have you signed up with some XYZ.com site just to receive a free ebook or report that you had every intention of reading, but never got around to.

My point is, it doesn't necessarily have to be some fantastic, gigantic give away but it should help solve a problem, or provide some entertainment. Also, if you can, it would be worthwhile if whatever you do decide to give away showcases what you can do/build/teach. Hopefully creating some anticipation/buzz for future giveaways.

      Just my 2 cents.

Not a bad idea. Another idea would be for FB to let us comment as our pages.

Actually, you can do that. I've been doing it for years. Just go up to the gear icon on the top right. It says "Use Facebook as:" and under it, it lists all your pages. Just select a page, and now you can go comment as that page. It's very useful.

Couldn't this be used to build a list very quickly?

On targeted Facebook pages, post something with 'first 5 people to comment get <so and so> sent to their email address'

Once they comment, reply to them asking them for their email (they can either post it there or message it to the page), then walah

I don’t know how much it will work, never tried out this trick. But I think following back includes a particular touch, regardless of how well known you are on Twitter. It indicates that you perceived somebody accompanied you and moved along at a comfortable pace to accompany them back. Individuals get a kick out of the chance to be accompanied; so sit down for a bit to follow and follow back.

Many pages are already using this idea. In the end, they do get some exposure and fans along with abuses and swear words for deceiving the members. :p

It involves a lot of work but I think it can click though I strongly agree that it will depend on what you are giving away to them. I think this will also work if you already have enough real fans because if there's less activity, people will not take it seriously.

It's a good idea but I think it's a little bit complicated? I mean, you'll still have to think what giveaway you would offer, right?
