Can anybody tell me a simple, quick way to message all my LOCAL friends on my Facebook profile? Fa cebook tells me I can do 250 but not HOW because all the instructions are for old FB set ups. If you use this method Please tell me.

Quit being desperate. Ask Facebook if you are so desperate as they can tell you the best way.

Why would you want to do this??

If you have an announcement, set up a Facebook Event, and invite your local friends.

It's hard to answer without knowing your objective...

Lyn, I am going to create an event but I only want to send the message to friends who live close enough to attend i.e in Liverpool area. Is there any way to do this easily and quickly?
      Thanks for answering.

I would second this advice. Especially if you're trying to reach all of your listed friends. Creating an event also gives the person a chance to investigate your "objective" or message and then accept and decline, giving you an easy way to track how they are reacting to your post. Remember not all events have to be physical events.
      Hope this helps.

You can search " My friends who live near Liverpool " search bar of fb.
Then from list click on first persons Message tab . The chat window will be open in right hand corner.
In chat window there is option "Add more friends to chat " you can manually add peoples you can see from search result.
Finally send the message you want.

    Hope this works

You can syphon them down by location. It's easier to do this on Google +

You can also send invites to an event/page and just choose the individuals who you want the invitations sent to.

When creating the event, you can adjust the privacy settings and you can choose the people you want to invite to the event. There's a guide on Facebook on how you can create an events page on the site.
