TweetAdder alternative?

Hello Warriors,

I purchased TweetAdder a while back with the intention of using it for its great automated systems. Since TweetAdder has updated its system and does not allow follow/unfollow automation, has anyone found a good alternative that works?

I was thinking of Tweet Attack Pro. Anyone have experience with it?

Thank you for your responses in advance.

There was a piece of software I used awhile back called Hummingbird for twitter purposes. It was interesting because at the time (couple years back), it was the only software that didn't "technically" break twitter's terms of service based on the way it followed/ unfollowed users.

Having said, I haven't used it in many many years, and I believe it has since changed hands (new development team), but I'd assume it's still of use.

HummingBird Pro Marketing Software for Twitter | Twitter Auto Follow Tool

I quickly Googled it and found that link.

    Hope that helps,
    Ben

Thank you! Was upset when Tweet Adder stopped automating things that software looks promising.

Thanks for the link. I have been doing some homework on Twitter marketing and just about everything I read or watched recommended Tweetadder. I may have to give this Hummingbird software a try and see how it stacks up.
      Thanks again!

I personally like manageflitter.com - I don't know what it does about following people, but it works great for unfollowing people who are either not following you back or have been inactive for a long time.

There are several other criteria too. And that's just for the free version!

        Hey!

Tweet adder has stopped automation is right but it is as per the TOS of Twitter.

Hummingbird is still in doldrums as the site is saying that it might get shut down...

I would suggest that do not try anything again the TOS Of Twitter.

Social oomph is still giving Auto FollowBack but tgat is against TGE TOS OF Twitter.

Tweet Adder is releasing a new update on June 2 and should come out with something good.

But still Tweet Adder works well for me.

I use the Crowdfire app for tracking who doesn't follow you or who unfollows you. It's pretty good there is a free version and a paid version. I've used it for about 2 months now with no problems.

p.s. It works with Instagram also.

Crowdfire is good and fully complies with TOS. It is not automated but if you get the app for your phone you can click really fast. Like follow 100 accounts in 30 seconds.

Crowdfire is pretty good, but if you use it like this Twitter will shut you down fast. With Twitter its slow and steady that wins the race. They watch for accounts exhibiting the above behavior and suspend them whenever they catch them. We get around this with an inhouse developed application to automate follow/unfollow extremely targeted accounts while staying within Twitter's following threshold limits. Once established, most accounts grow at about 100 new followers per day.

The big problem with Crowdfire is that you have to sit there in real time to use it. It's not easy to maintain that over the long haul. Also it's easy to surpass Twitter's follow threshold limits with Crowdfire. It gives no warning, but once you cross the line twitter will suspend your account, usually with no warning. You can unlock suspension fairly easily, but after that happens they are on to you and will be watching closely for further TOS abuse. The next time they may not lift suspension so easily. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

I'll also give a thumbs up to Crowdfire & have been using them for several years. If you have a very large account it takes some time for your account to be synced.

I currently have an issue for the "Inactive Following" with my largest Twitter account in Crowdfire. This feature allows you to identify & unfollow people who haven't tweeted in 1+, 3+ or 6+ months. It worked one night well & I was unable to unfollow thousands of people who hadn't tweeted in several years. I have a support ticket in regarding that issue so it may or may not be resolved. I used this feature on another twitter account that also was 7 years old. I discovered that over 60% of those I was following hadn't tweeted in 3+ months (majority in 1-3+ years).

When you follow people people back - you are able to see their profile & date of last tweet. Hovering your mouse over their name shows what their last tweet was. That's beneficial IMO. For a few years I used to just follow everyone back but no longer do that. However I admit following everyone back did grow my follower count even when I was fairly un-active on Twitter. The quality of the majority of those followers probably wasn't good.

The "Copy Followers" is where you can targeted "quality" followers by following "interactive" followers from whatever twitter account who also are more likely to follow you back. The paid version also hides previously followed people so you aren't attempting to follow the same person multiple times. I also should state that tweeting good content with hashtags also will bring you quality followers.

There are several other features you can check out as well. One thing Crowdfire has is a good "track record" & are very careful to make sure they follow all Twitter rules with their service. Twitter can still suspend you if you are churning (repeatedly following & unfollowing people) - https://support.twitter.com/articles/68916#

Are there any free software you can use to:

    - Manage numerous twitter accounts.
    - add followers (ideally from other accounts followers)
    - unfollow ones that don't follow you back.

Doesn't need to be automated happy doing it manually.

Or is it best to just pay for something like Tweet Herder?

I doubt you will find a free software to do this. This requires using the REST API, which requires a web server. Anything that sophisticated will be a complex installation and require a fair amount of vendor support. You won't find that for free.

You could set up multiple accounts on Crowdfire or something similar though. But again, that's not free. Here at RemoteDbProgramming, We do this with an in-house application called TwEmpire. We are considering offering it as a subscription service but not quite ready to do that as yet, and of course, if we do, it won't be free although we may offer some reviews or beta test accounts prior to launch. Not yet ready to open the floodgates though.
