How often do you tweet?

So if you have a business where you are engaging with potential customer through twitter, how often do you tweet? Personally I tweet for my businesses around 3-5 times per day per website.

I follow some businesses who are tweeting 30+ times a day, surely people must get fed up with them filling up their feed? I know I do!

It depends on the nature of the business or product. I would say, it's good if you tweet regularly to keep your users active.

Sellers of physical / digital prods do it really frequent on daily basis... as they have followers who like to get updates | they have people who compete with them, they have a big market to work with & so they send out updates..

I think that tweeting 30 times per day is too often. 3-5 times per day is enough if you have 1,000+ followers.

You should tweet as often as is necessary for your situation. You should be the master of knowing how often that is.

Tweet on Twitter can only make an impact, if you have the followers for your page on Twitter. It does matter that how often you tweet in a day & for how may sites you tweet. Is there any links between those websites & their twitter page, if so then tweeting very often on irregular basis can have either positive & negative impact upon your business. It depends how interested your users & followers are interest in your tweet & to what extend they are relevant to your business, region of coverage etc.

I think tweeting 3-5 times a day is fine. I usually send 20 tweets per day (or less), with 1 hour and 30 minutes interval. The reason for this is that one of my niche is technology and mobile (this topic is pretty dynamic and you get consistent news everyday about this), the more frequent I send tweets, the more I stay relevant to my followers. Of course, it helps to schedule them at the right time when most of your followers are online in Twitter and gaps in between tweets so that you won't annoy them and unfollow you.

I tweet regularly especially Tuesday, 10 in the morning but I minimize my tweet during Monday because twitter users are still on a weekend mode during that day. Additionally, I don't usually tweet during weekends because that's the time that I need to rest and make time for my family.

I am using scheduling option via Hootsuite. So, my tweets are quite regular even when I am sleeping Interesting, most effective (for my target group) is intensively tweeting - every hour or so.

Wow...30 a day....that's a bit excessive. I use TweetDeck to schedule all my tweets, which go out 3x a day.

I tested tweeting one time per day versus two, three, and four. Three times per day, six hours apart won. It had the highest click rate and lowest bounce rate. I haven't had any complaints about the multiple tweets.

So long as you are tweeting something relevant to your followers, there's no reason not to tweet as many times a day as you want. For instance, tweets that contain relevant SEO tips could interest your followers if they own blogs and want to get higher in Google Search. However, multiple advertising based tweets daily (or even just one) could be really annoying and cause you to lose your followers quickly.

If people who i follow keeps tweeting every 10-15 min i just stop following them. If you don't want to lose your followers don't tweet more than 3-5 times a day. Doesn't matter what is nature of the business.

You can tweet daily as per your requirement and topic. If your topic is intresting and if people like to read updates of that topic then you can tweets as many time as you can. otherwise per day 3-4 tweets are enough.

I try to tweet and interact with folks on Twitter at least daily, but it really depends. There are times with a big topic discussed and the talks are rolling day by day. Sometimes it's different and theres really not much going on.

I tweet an average of 1-10 times a day. Most of the time I tweet around 4-5 times in a day. If you tweet too much people will unfollow you. If you don't tweet enough people will not be engaged and interact with you. I find that about 5 times a day is a good number, also spacing the tweets out every few hours ensures that you are getting in front of all your followers!

I think the best advice is just to tweet 5 times a day at different times and be sure to be tweeting relevant content. Try not to tweet only affiliate links and spam , tweet some news and related content to your niche. I follow the rule of tweeting 2 times about my company and the other 10 times about news in my niche. This ensures that I do not appear to spammy.

    Hi,

You shouldn't tweet more than once every hour or so, lest you fill up your followers' walls and become an annoyance to them! Look at your OWN wall and look at what an annoyance it gets to be when someone you follow starts tweeting every five minutes. Have nice tweeting

Hi guys! It depends on your audience and on their activity. There is such a service as SocialBro, and it helps to find out the right time to tweet. It gathers your stats, which is based on the activity of your followers and generate the best time for you to tweet. I find it very helpful.

I run a news blog and everytime a post goes live, it automatically gets tweeted so depending on the day, I may get 10 tweets just from that.

Then I also tweet 5-10 quotes in between those because quotes get a lot of Retweets from my experience. And these Retweets help spread my username amongst the people who's following me followers.

These 2 kinds of tweets are done on autopilot through HootSuite and RSS.

I also may do about 3 tweets manually just saying random stuff.

You must not be following very many folks. Otherwise, the tweets would go by so fast you wouldn't have time to count how many times a day someone posts.

To answer your question... it depends. If most of your followers follow 1000+s it's more than likely they won't see your 3-5 posts per day. The key is to test the waters. See what your followers want. Doesn't matter what any of us think is the right amount. It's what they think that matters.

Maybe this is why some companies are tweeting so often, considering how just a few tweets will get easily lost in the shuffle (when you take into account how many people a Twitter user might actually be following).

Your followers follow you for a reason, and that reason is that they are interested in your company or what you have been previously tweeting so as long as your tweeting useful, informative and interesting tweets with good content, there should not be a minimum or maximum amount of tweets per day. However it is always good to look at when your followers are most interactive and potentially schedule some tweets so they are sent at these prime times.

It's a good idea not to post links all the time as well as it starts to look very spammy to your followers. What I tend to do is post a tweet about my business with an interesting image of my products and then the next tweet be about news that would interest my target audience (for example, latest iPhone news or reviews), this breaks it up a bit.

Ratio of twits entirely depends on which business you are in. I am in web development business, so i tweet 4-5 times a day. Twitting normally about my updated web products, thriving new info very often about my web development products to my followers through twitter generally helps me lot to gain success.

Doing regular tweet is a great way to establish your presence especially for a business. This will keep your customer/clients updated and its also a great way to connect to possible clients. I tweet less than 30 a week.

I think it all depends on how many visitors you have. 30 Tweets per day I think is excessive no matter how many followers you have. It also depends on what you are Tweeting is it valuable information or just pushing a product.
I would not go over 10 tweets per day on one account.

I think 3-5 tweets a day is good. It all depends on your audience. Pay attention also to the time of day and days of the week that your followers are online. Perform a few rough tests to see which times of days and which days of the week get the best response. This will help to maximize the success of your biz.

      Good Luck!
