Monetizing My Sites without Google Adsense

Hey,

So I have an okay social media presence online.
  • I have 2,450+ Twitter Followers
  • I have 1,000+ Facebook Fans one One Facebook Fanpage
  • I have 700+ Facebook Fans on another Facebook Fanpage
  • My Personal Blog gets about 5,000+ Pageviews per Month on my Personal Blog
  • My Secondary Blog gets about 2,000+ Pageviews per Month
  • My Empowerment Blog is just starting and gets 300 Pageviews per month
  • I have 180+ Pinterest Followers
  • 312 people have me in their Google + Circle.

I feel like with this presence I could be monetizing some of my media channels. But, I no longer have a Google Adsense account and do not wish to get a new one, and have no real idea on how I can monetize my sites and social media. Any advice is warmly welcomed.

xxx,

Danielle Faith

Try Infolinks - a competitor of Adsense.

Depends on what your niche... maybe you can consider affiliate program.

I have to agree without more details it is hard to say how best to monetize your presence. There are many ways to do this.

One question do you have a sign-up form on your blog?

One of best ways to monetize is building a list of subscribers and emailing to it.

Use a lightbox pop-up to get more subscribers.

You could also try Media.net. I hear tell their 250x250 has a higher CTR than Adsense's block of the same size.

I agree with the idea to build a list. You can just exchange chit chat with your list and them pop them an offer from time to time.

someone on another webforum suggested I do amazon affiliates which, I have, but never really use, so I installed a widget to my blog that relates to the features for the week and states "My Favorites for the Month" I plan to add to the widget each week and include other products that are featured throughout the month.

Also, I do have a signup bar for a list but no one ever signs up because its so obscure unless I do a giveaway and offer points for signing up. My current list size is about 40 people but I seldomly email it and when I do, Its purpose is to drive traffic, not to sell a product but maybe I can change that. I might need to brainstorm more on that one though.

Most of the social interaction happens on the extending facebook page. Which might be the perfect place to slide in a amazon affiliate product every once in awhile as it relates to content on the blog. IE: I Do album review fridays so I could link to the album on amazon via my affiliate code. Same applies to twitter....

I'll have to look into lightbox although I am not too sure about having a pop up on the site - I'm worried it could drive away traffic.

Media.net could work ... especially if their 250x250 has a really good CTR. I'll have to see look into it more.
