Okay guys I showed you already in my other post (see it here) what kind of videos you can do. In this post I wanna give you now a few tips and tricks how to crate youtube videos with the talking heads method because those videos are the ones I do most for my business. Talking heads videos can entertaining and they can show your views your passion about the topic you speak about or your passion about your whole business in general. I know it isn’t easy to start out with those videos because a lot of people are scared to be in front of the camera. They care about what people think in the moment they see the video and if they laugh about them or judge them for their voice, pronunciation their hair cut or whatever. You have to go over this fear and just start to make your first video. I mean look at myself I’m not an actor and I’m not even a native speaker. I have my bad hard German accent and I don’t look every day like Brad Pitt but I got over this fear and I don’t care what others think about myself because those people who speak bad about you or your videos are not your targeted audience anyway.
After we talked about making the first step towards your first video let’s talk about a few tricks you should keep in mind while doing your videos.

  1. Keep your videos short. I try to make my videos no longer than 5 minutes if possible not even longer than 3 minutes but if you have a message you can’t put in a shorter video then take your time. Cover always just one topic in your video and make sure with proper keyword research that people search about the topic or problem you talking about.
  2. Try to find a nice spot in your house or wherever you wanna shoot the video. The background should be clean and there shouldn’t be any distractions on this background that people follow your explanations and not your cat playing ball behind you.
  3. Make sure you have a good amount of lighting that your viewers can see your face or whatever you shooting without shadows on. I don’t know what you think but I don’t like videos where everything is blurred because of the bad light and you have to guess more than knowing what you see.Make sure you have a good sound. People watch your videos out of a reason and if your viewers are not able to hear what you saying because of bad audio then they will turn away from your video. I had a broken headset and every time I recorded a video I had those crackle in my videos and as a result did I get a lot of complaining’s from my subscribers about that. So make sure you use a good mic/ headset and a nice quit area to shoot your video.

  5. My last tip is to have always a call to action at the end. It doesn’t matter what your video for you have to have a call to action that people know what they have to do next. Some great calls to action would be telling the viewer to call your business, ask them to subscribe, share or like the video. Have a look how I do it in the video below.
Okay now it’s your turn go out there and start making your videos to expand your business and add a new source of traffic to it!
