Social Media Software

There is loads out there now, how do you determine which is the best for you, bearing in mind the continual developments within SM.

As service providers/consultants, we should be at the forefront or near to it of these developments, you get one piece of software, start using it well ,then things change in SM, some more software comes out that does a bit more, change or stay, when do you decide to look at changing or do you stay put with what you know, maybe for longer than you really should.

Do you look to have available what will deliver the best for your clients, or is it more whats best for you?

Radian 6, Social Mention, Hootsuite, Sendible etc etc all very usable , all do similar things , some better than others, of course depends what you want to deliver to clients and the levels of professionalism you wish to convey perhaps, interesting discussion could follow hopefully, Note Im not necessarily seeking recommendations , more discussion on what/how we all deliver and decide what to use

I work with a lot of local businesses in Social media.

My personal opinion is do what will benefit both parties. Since the ever changing Social Media realm will never stop changing neither should we. Otherwise someone else will come in and take over.

If you have a software that does everything you need it to right now. You are in a good position. If a new one comes out that does something different but does not impact the profit, reach, or gain of you or the company, there is no need to switch.

    Just a thought!

I agree Corey , I was asking more from you either have to trial an alternative or read enough decent reviews about it to really know if its going to improve enough to warrant running with it and changing, and theres so many new and variants out there I mean I probably haven't even heard of 60% that are out there .

Sometimes I think its easier to just bite the bullet and go with the likes of Salesforce and get it all even though I don't currently use it, once its available I will use it and grow quickly into that level of service V having enough clients making enough use of the advanced potential to warrant paying the higher premiums
