Newbie question - finding images for facebook ads

Hi all,

I'm totally new to this and I want to start creating my ads to place on facebook but I'm unsure where to get the images to use for my ads.

I thought about using google images and photoshop it from there, but was wondering if there'll be any legal repercussions if someone catches me using their images?

Perhaps someone can suggest where's a good place to source ad images?

    Have you tried Wikipedia? There are usually public domain images on the site.

    ARe you trying to find 100% free images like royalty-free photos?

    Photodune.net is the best place. $1 per image.

    If you're using Google or similar sites, you may get in trouble.


    Flickr is also a good choice. I'd go with the first though.

    Google images and Photoshop them? How far are you planning to go with the photo manipulation or editing? That is not something that you would want to do if you do not want to face copyright issues. You will never know the websites on Google that allow what you are planning to do.

    If you can use photoshop then you can make something out for yourself.

    Alternatively hire a designer or search online for any "free images online".

    I totally agree. Using Photoshop is really easy. You can just use other images for inspiration, but do not copy the entire thing. There are so many things that you come up with if you know how to use Photoshop and making images using that software is the safest way to do what you are trying to do.
