Using Pinterest for a photo website

Hi Warriors !

I am a professional web developer and I have developed alone, a french photo sharing website during 6 entire months of hard work. Now, the website is live and I am working on ranking / promoting the website with Google Adwords and Facebook Ads... It works pretty well since in just one week, more than 1100 beautiful photos have been published on my website.

Now I am thinking about ranking my website by using some other social networks such as Pinterest... Which is dedicated to the photo... But Pinterest is not very well known in France so I am wondering if it could work.

In your opinion, do you think that if I published some of my users photos (by asking them the permission) on Pinterest (maybe 30-40 photos a day), then it could bring me some targeted traffic to my website ?

Please note that my website is a community dedicated to professional photographers, so most of the photos are really beautiful.

Thanks!
Axel

I would definitely go for Pinterest. Your offer content are photos, so you should focus on social media dedicated to photos like Pinterest. In France Pinterest's started its advertising camping (one of the first two countries in Europe - the other one is UK), so it's getting popular.
What is the purpose of this site, do you sell photos?
As you said your photos might be really beautiful and what is more importent they might be unique on Pinterest. Proper Pinterest's campign will rank your site in Google as well. We reached the top of Google for one of out customers with Pienterst campaign only.

Just create an "pin it" button to be shown next to each photo or gallery. When you create your Pinterest account, get to groub boards related to the photos you are going to pin, to share them.
