How to block/delete mass followers on Instagram?

I have had an account for a long time and it got a lot of followers very quick because almost every post would make the popular page. I was not very fond of that because it was my personal account and I got a lot of fake following, spam, follow back accounts, or just plain weirdos so I stopped using it for a while. I would like to mass block or delete most of my followers, but the service IGExorcist does not work for me.

Is there any legit service online that can help me delete/block many followers at a time, or will I have to get someone who knows the API to custom build something like that for me?

    Why don't you just delete your Instagram account? That is way easier than having to block and delete the followers that you have. If you have important people following you there, just direct them to your new account. Considering the fact that you were no longer using it for a long time, I don't think that you still give value to the photos that you have there. But if you still do, yes, blocking them and deleting them is really what you should be doing.
