..losing popularity among teens.

Facebook Is No Longer The Most Popular Social Network For Teens - Yahoo Finance

So, is this a sign that Facebook is slowly becoming the new myspace?

Another interesting thing on the graph is Google+. After all the fuss, it seems like it's already losing popularity before even taking off.

MySpace? No. Will Facebook drop a bit?? I don't see how it isn't possible. Government using it to look into our private lives as well as businesses & schools, people just don't want information out there. Twitter & Instagram you can still follow your friends and see what they're up to but there is also a sense of privacy at the same time. I just don't think you can expect Facebook to be as huge as it was unless they make a law everyone is required to have one... which actually wouldn't surprise me someday. my 2 cents

Yes, Facebook is getting less popular with teens these days. But I don't think that it's the beginning of the end.

Part of the reason Facebook is losing its popularity is the fact that there are other, less overwhelming social networks around (e.g. Instagram, Twitter, etc.). As for Facebook, with more than 1 billion users worldwide and gathering-pace monetization it is becoming a 'heave' social network that is too complicated to master, too risky to use as it's overrun by parents, and to restricting in many ways, which doesn't give teens the sense of digital freedom.

But I guess now the decline in popularity is not that big, and Facebook will definitely find how to solve this issue.

So, at the moment, there's no reason to worry about, and you can continue to run your Facebook promotion campaigns.

Google+ is going to be on a driver seat very soon, but it's too early to say that facebook is dead for marketing or promotion ect, it's still doing fine but not sure about the year coming ahead.

Teens dont have credit cards and dont buy things (without parents permission) so who cares.

As for becoming the next myspace. I think your crying that the sky is falling a little to soon there.

Just means the age demographic of Facebook has changed. You have more grown ups on Facebook, rather than just kids and teens as you had with Myspace.
