Google has told many people that their numeric G+ URLs can be replaced with custom ones of the form: plus.google.com/+Your Name.
Here are some facts to keep in mind.
-- They may eventually charge your for your custom URL (read the small print, it's in the terms of use!).
-- The former url will be 302-redirected to the custom URL (this is SEO-UNfriendly and may hurt G+ profile's rankings ).
-- Google Authorship may not work with the changed URL.
