Fiverr for Social Signals are Dead!! Google is tracking these gigs!

So, I've been a lurker for quite a long time and have learned quite a bit from fellow warriors. Enough to have a quit my full time job and hire a few people to manage a network of a few dozen properties, so I hope you will trust me when I say that:

Google is well aware of Fiverr SEO gigs and has been for quite awhile now. I have some pretty compelling evidence from multiple sites I manage that Google is sending out hit squads using the reports many providers send you. I would say these hit squads probably started within the last week or two. Just after Penguin 2.1.

Here's how it works:

1) Google buys every gig offering social signals, backlinks, etc. a couple times a week.
2) Google then takes those nice little reports (A.K.A "Footprints") and organizes them.
3) They then scrape every link on that users profile or site and then add a penalty to it.

Most will say "Duh, this is common sense", but a lot of people...including myself have had incredible success using these gigs. It was only a matter of time before it happened. I would say that it would probably be safe to use providers that do not use reports, but it is just as easy for Google to track all the profiles used using # tags or random strings to see who's profiles they are popping up on.

I thought socialsynd would be able to fill the gaps, but its a very limited resource (Pro only offers 64 Urls) for someone that is marketing 1000's of URLs.

Would love to hear suggestions, ideas or alternatives to Fiverr?

Most of the fiverr gigs I used were horrible for SEO and one even ruined a website that was doing well on its own. I tend to stay away from any area in fiverr that the company themselves can easily order a gig and shut down the user or penalize whatever that user is doing. Most of the creative gigs on fiverr are where the value is at.

Where to go for SEO? I would trust the people on this forum that help with SEO much more than anyone on fiverr. I would search through the WSO forum for SEO services.

I don't doubt what you're saying. Frankly surprised it went so long without being addressed, but do you know of any formal posts on the issue like in Mashable, Techcrunch or Digg? I'm working on a project that this sort of documentaion would be useful.
