Can you boost a post on your FB account?

I know you can boost posts on a facebook page, how about your own account? I have a post that I want to reach out to a larger audience besides my friends but I don't see an option to do so. Anyone know if that's possible?

    You need to create an advertisement or get friends to share it or you could find posters on fiverr to spam indiscriminately.

    If you have a Facebook page you can use the Boost Post option offered by Facebook. You can target people who like your page or their friends or people you target by Country,Age, Gender and so on.

    You promote any post on Facebook by buying Facebook ads on its Facebook PPC advertising platform. That is the "white hat" way of doing it.

    It is really better to do it with facebook Page. then you have more oppurtunity to reach larger targeted audiences
